The MIA's collection of Asian art represents seventeen Asian cultures spanning nearly 5,000 years.  Galleries devoted to the arts of Asia, including four period rooms, are located on the museum’s second floor.

The collection is divided between two departments: the Department of Chinese, South and Southeast Asian Art and the Department of Japanese and Korean Art. Please find information on both departments below.
