The artist (until 1931, sold to Zaks); Zalman Zaks (1931-1945); Nehama (Anna) Zaks, Russia (1945–56); Moisei Zaks, United States (1956–1991/93)[1]; his nephew Leonid Zaks and Elena Zaks, Ramat Gan, Israel (1991/93–2008; consigned to Robert Hiedemann Fine Art, Richmond, Virginia, sold to Mia) [1] Zaks was reportedly granted permission to export his Russian paintings collection from the Soviet Union in Moscow in December 1956 to January 1957, when he was traveling to Belarus
