Tomb retinue

2 year Art in Bloom participant

Floral Products Used: calla lillies, meyeri fern, waxflower, hydrangea, banana leaf

I chose an Asian vase and used flowers from all over the world. Each flower plays an important part to create a beautiful whole. I pray for peace in our world and support for our Asian community.

Floral Arrangement Inspired by...

Guardian of one of the quarters of the Buddhist heaven. Glazed pottery tomb figure, one of a pair, dressed in armor and standing on a kneeling bull. A fine blue predominates in color scheme, with details in white, brown, mottled green and yellow. Elements of Sassanian design appear on the armor. Head, phoenix headdress, and hands unglazed.
