Eastern Yellow Robin

Butterfly Garden

This painting, That Way, is my response to a place I was on the Isle of Skye last year.  The small building with the bright orange roof was nestled in the grass with the sea behind it.  It was lovely, peaceful and memorable.

This is one of my Selfie series, the only one that does not include me. I go to museums and galleries and take selfies of me with my favorite art- then recreate them in paint. Eduardo admired this painting of deKooning from the Chicago Institute of Art.

The Mall

This painting is big on color, including organic forms in bright red, fuscia pink, lime green, dark navy blue, teal, forest green and sky blue. The organic forms are applied both horizontally and vertically in a complimentary, abstract way. Laying on top of these colors are six red, strong horizontal lines, one bright yellow vertical, and three striking fuscia vertical lines. Though this is an abstract painting, you can also imagine it as a landscape. The title is ’Three Moons,' which is taken from from the three medium-sized white circles in the center of the painting. There is also a white circle in the center along with two small open circles and many light blue circles on the lower, left hand corner.
