Look on the Bright Side

The design for this bag was inspired by the subway system in Stockholm, Sweden and pulls the color palette of pastel salmon, lavender, mint and white found in the Morby Centrum underground station. This piece is a handcrafted reversible leather backpack, with diagonal pastel stripes on one side, connecting to the opposite side where the stripes are horizontal. Above the horizontal stripes showcases the architectural insignia logo for the Minneapolis based minimal leather goods brand, Montgomery Collection. This drawstring backpack cinches at the top and includes details of the stripes on one side of the pull strings. The interior is lined in grey suede, soft to the touch and will protect all of your belongings held inside. Worn on either the diagonal or horizontal side, this backpack is a functional piece of art.

Journey Through Stitch

A sculpted bust of a veiled woman made from wool that looks like marble. The wind appears to be blowing the fabric against her face and the rest is billowing away from her. The veil reveals beneath the illusion of translucent folds half of her face is classicly beautiful and the other half is her skull.

Dune Study

Cartonnage Tea Mugs suggest a season of social gathering together in different forms or individual reflections at this time. Remnants were leftover patterned fabrics from making face masks.

Minneapolis 20/20

A piece of fabric that has a repeating pattern of irregular oval shapes. The oval shapes are white and the background of the fabric is medium-dark, soft blue. The pattern is irregular and the blue color seeps into the white oval shapes on each shape. Along each rectangle's border, there are dotted lines. 

Resist 1

Wool fleece has been needle felted to create a colorful and softly textured image.  The scene shows a red full moon and a yellow-green crescent moon as ethereal figures begin a journey.  The night sky is composed of blended blues and purples.  One of the figures is robed in vivid reds and corals.

A Journey
