Winged

A pine tree as found in Minnesota made from welded steel on a textured metal base, finished in nature steel finish and 3 coats of lacquer.  The branches are made from different sizes of fine finishing cut nails and the trunk is made from a larger cut nail, with the top portion being a 100 year old cut nail.

A wet felted wool sculpture of a bust. The face is white with a mix of natural colored wool and cotton gauze felted together and the eyes are stitched in ecru and light green. The hair is voluminous, made of long scraps of fabric hand dyed with natural dyes. The head sits on a recycled bedspring. 

Fiber Artist

Sterling Silver one inch round bead containing a bright red orange transparent Mexican Fire Opal inside. The pierced cut out  Design has flowing openings that allows light to illuminate the opal from all angles. The opal glows brightly when the light hits it. The textured silver emits a soft muted glow.

Toby's Bead

A yellow stained glass sunflower stands up off of a mosaic mirrored background. The clear beveled glass center is painted with a Fermat spiral of sunflower seeds and reflects onto a background created from a CD, for a luminescent rainbow effect.

This is a wood carving of Leo standing in the wind with his comb-over hair being blown off his bald head.  He is holding a walking staff and looking off in the direction of the wind.

Arial's Garden Path

This bowl was created from a casting (round plastic pail) blank and turned on the lathe. The unique characteristics of this bowl is the encapsulation of the Lichen which grew on the Diamond willow tree..

A small wood sculpture of a mushroom which is coarsely cut  out of a branch which still has  some bark on it giving the end product a rich coloration  which runs the gamut between dark and light brown. 

Quadriplegic Chainsaw (mushroom) 

Two intertwined abstracted non-binary human figures twist about each other in a cork screw pattern. Starting from a wood pedestal, the polished yellow-red bronze geometric feeling base flows upwards through very loosely delineated legs, torsos, arms and shoulders. The piece culminates in tilted heads wrapped about each other face to face in a kiss. Though the piece is of two bodies it is hard to tell where one starts and the other ends as you follow the rotating pattern up and down the work.

Trilene2

Vintage and antique French and Czech glass seed beads woven with thread around a real deer skull. Displayed on a repurposed barn wood board with barbed wire. This is bead work, not mosaic work where beads are glued to a strata. One bead at a time is woven, creating what I call a "glass skin," an intricately woven fabric of beads. With this technique, an insanely beautiful texture is produced.

This sculpture was made from an oak burl, the burl was cut to fit into a 12 inch cube. The flat cut surfaces were polished while the natural surfaces were charred with a torch, all surfaces were then oiled to bring out the grain pattern.

Lightning Downed Oak

Cubical cage created with bakers cooling racks, now rusted, contains cluster of marble grapes, photograph of people at the seaside, tiny suspended photograph of a baby, antique color toy spinners hanging from the rack, face mask, many cobwebs. This sculpture has been exhibited in every Foot in the Door Show with elements added for each time it visited the MIA.

Double-sided decoupage on a flared glass vase featuring a variety of bees and honeycomb, black, white and gold patterns.

Honeycomb Bees

This  sculpture of an angel was created with things found in my studio during COVID lockdown. She has sheet music on her arms and book pages for her skirt. Handmade lace doilies complete her skirt. Her wings came from a bird that perched in the Christmas tree. She holds an antique stick pin that acts as a pinwheel ."Hope" signifies that we can find beauty and fun wherever and whatever the circumstances of life.

HOPE

A round, copper lapel pin with an abstractly cut silver layer on top. The left side has organic curves while the right side is more angular.

Duality

A multicolored oval sculpture with seven stone beads stitched with seed beads around the surface of a Lake Superior stone.

Seven Wishes

A small sculptural object screwed into the wall, made of a found wooden knob, surrounded by a crocheted metal skin with a purple lacy edge.

Lilies

Green Heron made from paper mache, the feathers are made using watercolor on Arches watercolor paper, each feather is cut by scissors and applied to the bird.  The nest is made with wire and gel medium.

A cube of steel rods with steel rods welded on the inside of 2 opposite edges, extending into the cube, their ends describing a negative space in 3 dimensions, painted flat black.

A 2 d glass white flower, red sumac leaf, 2 cattails, with grass pieces set into a piece of driftwood.

Glass Garden

A masked crouching  figure on top of a table/ altar. The whole composition is coated with thick black tar adding more texture and softening the contours of the sculpture.
