Landscape After Castle

   Twisted

A sculpted bust of a veiled woman made from wool that looks like marble. The wind appears to be blowing the fabric against her face and the rest is billowing away from her. The veil reveals beneath the illusion of translucent folds half of her face is classicly beautiful and the other half is her skull.

Minneapolis 20/20

A wall sculpture with blue, green, and off-white cotton, linen and silk wrapped and woven around vintage lobster nets to represent water, grass and sand.


Dune Study

Secret Pocket

Embroidery on linen using chain, back, running stitches, and french knots. There is a hole torn off to the left side. Stray threads are seen entering and exiting the opening.

The Center Will Not Hold

An orange fabric background with a pink concha embroidered in the middle, and the text "Conchas" above it and "not cops" below it, embroidered in black cursive. Each corner has a different succulent in a yellow pot with a pink stripe (green round one with pink flower in the top left, green and leafy in the top right, green tall standard cactus in the lower left, and blue cactus with pink flower buds on the bottom right). It is in a dark brown, almost black, frame against a white background.

Best Foot Forward

A 3-dimensional wet-felted fish treated with many layers of Norwegian wool roving. A plastic resist was placed in the center of the shape about halfway through the felting process so that it could be cut to reveals the "insides" of the fish.

Felted Fantasy Fish

This is a series of heads with curly hair- all made out of sheep’s wool. Some of the wool is naturally curly. The wool was dyed in different colors and formed into the heads and hair. These are hanging on a pine tree trig to give it its three-dimensional form.

A portrait of a friend's pet rabbit, a mixed media creation, started with a photograph, then little pieces of brightly colored fabric fused and sewn onto a contrasting diagonal background.
