The image is a simple one of a grouping of trees just off the Mississippi river. It was created using an exposure of five minutes to capture an essence of time to show the streaks of movement within the sky. It was taken in early winter so the trees found within the frame are mostly bare of leaves.

I arranged and photographed my spoon collection as part of a 100-day creativity project that I undertook this year. Some of the most rewarding and enjoyable projects from that time were curating and capturing collections. The images will last forever but the creative exercise of artistically arranging objects was fleeting. I actually didn't realize that I had such a large spoon collection until I started looking for spoons to photograph after uncovering a few unusual ones in the depths of my kitchen drawers. Collections abound.
