A triangle shaped basket-like vessel made of strips of paper that are hand painted individual colors of purple, mint green and copper.  The strips are woven using a multi-layered hexagonal weave. Peeled grapevine is then attached to the rim with waxed linen thread so the grapevine pierces the piece in 2 places.

A repurposed wood bowl that has been ebru marbled with acrylic paint.

A 1.5 scale stylized human ear cast in dull orange bronze. The metal has been buffed to a shine and discolored from contact in some places, and left raw in others. The surface has marks from the sculpting tools, and the shape is a mix of naturalistic curves and roughly faceted angles.

Kimono

A pine tree as found in Minnesota made from welded steel on a textured metal base, finished in nature steel finish and 3 coats of lacquer.  The branches are made from different sizes of fine finishing cut nails and the trunk is made from a larger cut nail, with the top portion being a 100 year old cut nail.

This bowl was created from a casting (round plastic pail) blank and turned on the lathe. The unique characteristics of this bowl is the encapsulation of the Lichen which grew on the Diamond willow tree..

A relief made from toys and doll parts. The Emperor is centered and is a larger doll head.  The Emperor is surrounded by his warriors ( toy soldiers ) as well as his captors ( baby dolls ). Two 'my little pony' dolls are symbols of the Emperor's power.  The toys are all attached to a piece of plywood.   The piece is completely sprayed in one grey color.

A figure based on a Kertesz circus mirror photograph, with head on arms, back arching up and curving around and down to hips and kneeling foreshortened legs, thus defining an oval inner space.

A smooth rounded form of a bear in a typical standing posture with bulk concentrated forward over the front legs. The back hair has left un-smoothed to provide contrasting texture. Inlays, front and back, of inlace give some color contrast.

This sculpture is a happy character standing with his arms stretched out, wearing a colorful costume.  He is having a Eureka moment and his eyes are popping out of his head.  His upper clothing is geometric squares and diamond shapes in green, black, and blue.  HIs face and hands are yellow.  His lower body is shaped like a jester costume in orange and red.  He is wearing a necklace and two bracelets on his shoulders.  He has many colorful buttons on his costume.  His head is shaped strangely and his eyebrows are big and golden.  His shoes are fun and are red and aqua.

Still Life for the Anthropocene

Chased copper depicting two Scilla flowers. One flower featuring green patinated leaves with a blue blossom the other leaves and flower in natural copper.  The Scilla are planted in a knotty Oak base.

Pretending Nature

This is a mixed media piece humorously expressing the panic at diving in to new and possibly dangerous experiences.  A bird fearfully watches as a group of fish playfully enjoy the water below. One fish invites the bird to join in the fun but, well, he would prefer to remain a bird out of water. 

Jump!

Matching 22 inch necklace circling a 10.5 inch bracelet. Pink wire knit into a rope with freshwater pearls, pewter cubes, filigree end caps, and shepherds hook clasps. Each rope has a knot in its center.
