On an early morning walk along the Wind River in Dubois, WY, the full moon was setting as the sun was rising. At this location, sandy barren hills come down to one side of the river, while cottonwoods and willows thrive on the opposite bank.

A painting of a five member jazz band, including a drummer, bass violinist, sax player, pianist, and vocalist.  It's an evening performance inside the lobby of Orchestra Hall.  The background was created with a drippy wet paint technique and the performers and instruments were painted with thick paint applied with a palette knife.

River Running

A canvas painting stretched over a 12 x 12 x 12 hand made cube frame of abstract heavily washy textures centered with a circle or loop painted in a similar abstracted styling. All visible sides, five in total, are painted in the same style, each side in a different color; the front is a stark black and white; one side has some deep turquois added, the top has some deep red added, the bottom has some lime green added, and one side is black and white with accents of some yellow.

Through the Magnifying Glass

This painting is based on the ancient Celtic church door guardians that portray the prehistory carvings of the cranky Earth mother called the Sheila-na-gig. This stylized Sheila is a black, red and yellow line on white painted canvas depicted with basic circles, triangles, nashing teeth, and huge feet.
