It was rare for a "gentleman" to be able to claim that all eight great-grandparents were also titled, as was the case for Aadrian and Theodorus van Raverhorst. Both brothers were active in the Dutch East India Company, which may have led one of them to order a dinner service celebrating their ancestry.
