Based on Matsumoto Kōshirō VII (1870-1949) as Hanakawado Sukeroku, in reality Soga Gorō Tokimune, in the scene Miuraya kōshisaki of the play Sukeroku yukari no Edozakura 助六由縁江戸桜 三浦屋格子先 (Sukeroku’s Affinity for Edo Cherry Blossoms), performed at the Imperial Theater, April 1917.
