Imperial 12-symbol robe of orange gauze embroidered in petit point and satin stitch. Nine 5-clawed dragons in couched gold thread. In a field of sprawling white eyed clouds,the traditional 12 symbols, good luck characters, and bats carrying swastikas and the double peach. Border of slanting stripes topped by a solid band of tight clouds and billows in which appear Buddhist symbols and Precious Things. Black gauze band embroidered in petit point with motifs of the body. Wide cuffs of the same and sleeves of paler orange gauze striped horizontally in blue. Robe slit at sides and lined with medium blue damask of peony design.
