Skylight Two mechanically turns on and off, creating an everchanging light show. Viewers are encouraged to spend time in front of the artwork. Technology was an extension of the human body---our perception and capacities are irrevocably changed by it. Jones saw both the inherent dangers and limitless potential of technology. In experiencing the changing conditions of the gallery, Jones hoped viewers would be come attuned to our relationship with technology---in this case, electricity.
