New York painter and printmaker Peri Schwartz’s work sits on the border between reality and abstraction. An obsessive, rigorous designer of structure and space, the geometry of New York City’s dense urban fabric and the spatial interactions of the facades, windows, roofs, and chimneys as well as the shadows these forms cast, offer infinite shapes with which the artist can compose.
