Edgar Jerins turned to his own family in this drawing made at a time in which each of the three cousins depicted here were wrestling with personal demons. The artist does not judge, despite the immense challenges that his relatives face, but has depicted them sensitively and with love, though exposing their vulnerable emotional states.
