Sasai spent about seven months completing this sculpture, a work commissioned in 2013 that was inspired by the seeds of Japanese horse chestnut trees. The piece conveys a sense of energy and strength with its blend of sharp lines and curved surfaces, both of which are enhanced by a glossy finish.
