Shan Goshorn prints labels derived from government-issued canned food rations on traditionally woven baskets used by Native peoples to gather naturally occurring fruits and vegetables from the land. In doing so, Goshorn invites us to re-evaluate what types of food we consume, as well as the insidious nature of a system that undermines self-sufficiency.
