This long-necked jar, with a short, perforated foot supporting a bulbous body is consistent with burial vessels found in the Silla capital of Gyeongju, on the southeast coast of the peninsula. Although many, including this jar, are decorated only with incised wavy lines or geometric designs, other examples have been discovered with incised pictorial motifs like horses or with affixed clay figurines.
