Besides monumental sculptures like the nearby Voyage of Time, Igawa also makes smaller black and red polished sculptures like this one here which evokes flight into the night sky. Their minimalist shapes are somewhat reminiscent of the elegant, razor-sharp, pale-blue glazed porcelain sculptures of the contemporary artist Fukami Sueharu exhibited in gallery 253.
